Preparatory Course

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) by School of Liberal Arts has been designed the Preparatory English Language Course (PE) and the Preparatory Thai Language Course (PT) for student to prepare studying at MFU.

Prospective students successfully complete the course and pass the evaluation exam at the end, are allowed to enroll at MFU. The programme qualifications specified by each school. (Admission Guide)

MFU student who is accepted with condition, student is able to enroll in the selected course at MFU. (Selected Course)

Preparatory Course in English (PE)

To develop English language skill especially in speaking and listening for non-native English speakers. After completing the course, students will be able to communicate effectively both in academic environment and in everyday situations.

Duration: 12 Weeks (180 hrs.)
Tuition cost: 54,000 THB
Class size: 20 students

Benefits of the PE:

  • Be able to interact in a simple way with others using basic English vocabulary and grammatical structures in a slow and clear speed of utterances;
  • Be able to respond to simple reading stories/passages; and
  • Be able to construct simple sentences; write a simple biography, emails and postcards.

Admission Requirements

STEP 1: Submitting Application Form online. [Apply]

  • Required Documents are as follows:
    • A copy of passport
    • A Photography

STEP 2: Receiving confirmation and invoice

  • E-mail confirmation and invoice for the programme fee, accommodation fee and health insurance fee will be received in approximately 2 weeks after application deadline.

STEP 3: Paying tuition fee

  1. After receiving an invoice for payment, applicant must pay for the fees and send a scanned receipt of transaction to wannapha.thi@remove-thismfu.ac.th within 7 days.
  2. A successful application will be followed by an official acceptance letter, with the necessary visa request documents and letters.

STEP 4: Arrive & Depart

  • Completing the Arrival-Departure Form for pickup and drop-off services.
  • Arrival & Pick-up
    • Student must arrive at MFU 1 day before class starts.
    • MFU will provide a pickup service from the Mae Fah Luang - Chiang Rai International Airport during 8 am. – 4 pm.
  • Departure & Drop-off
    • Student must leave Thailand within 1 day of finishing the programme.
    • MFU will provide a drop off service to Mae Fah Luang - Chiang Rai International Airport during 8 am. – 4 pm.
