After applicants have been officially accepted to study at MFU and have paid the tuition fee within the specified timeframe, MFU will prepare the necessary documents for the visa application. Students are then required to submit their Non-ED visa application to the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate in their respective countries themselves.

Applicants are responsible for submitting their Non-ED visa application personally. MFU will prepare the necessary documents for the visa application but will not cover the associated visa application fees.

Every MFU international student must enter Thailand with a Non-ED visa only. Students are strongly advised not to attempt to change their visa type to a Non-ED visa after arriving in Chiang Rai.

Yes, you are able to transfer a Non-ED visa to MFU if you currently hold a valid Non-ED visa from another institution and have at least one valid extension record. Please contact m4u.global@mfu.ac.th to inquire about the specific procedure for the student visa transfer.

Yes, this procedure is accessible, when your Non-O visa is going to expire, you can contact m4u.global@mfu.ac.th to request for visa extension, after that your Non-O visa will change to Non-ED automatically at the Immigration office.

Yes, this procedure is accessible, but you must formally cancel your existing Non-B visa first, and then apply to extend your stay as a Non-ED student visa. Please contact m4u.global@mfu.ac.th to inquire about the specific procedure and requirements for changing your Non-B visa to a Non-ED student visa.

MFU offers supporting documents for visa applications to accepted students only.

International students holding a Non-ED visa are not permitted to engage in any form of employment outside of specific academic allowances. Students who wish to work in Thailand must obtain both a Work Permit and a Non-B visa (which typically requires leaving the student status).

However, students may be eligible for part-time work within the university's divisions and schools, subject to position availability and MFU's internal regulations.
