On 18 January 2018, executives and staff members from Walailak University led by President Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong visited Mae Fah Luang University to observe the operation and activities of academic support centres and divisions.
The meeting served as a venue for WU executives and staff members and MFU staff members from the Building and Grounds Division, MFU Botanical Garden, International Affairs Division, Student Development Affairs Division, Intellectual Property Management and Innovation Development Office, Centre for Academic Services, Research Services Division, Centre for Information Technology Services and Academic Extension and Development Office to exchange ideas and issues related to architecture, intellectual property management, international affairs, teaching and active learning, and academic and research services.
Altogether, staff members from both institutes believe they may adopt and adapt what they learned in order to support their institutes and students effectively.
