On 4 December 2023, Asst. Prof. Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Luang University; and Dr. Nichan Singhaputargun, Acting Head of the Global Relations Division warmly welcomed the delegation of Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University (PSBU), Cambodia led by H.E. Mr. NGOUN Sdech Pheakdey, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Cult and Religion and Vice President of Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University (PSBU) at the reception room, Vanchai Sirichana Building (AD1), Mae Fah Luang University.
H.E. Mr. NGOUN Sdech Pheakdey stated that Preah Sihamoniraja Buddhist University (PSBU) possesses outstanding expertise in the fields of information technology, philosophy, religion and law, education, and foreign languages. Mr. KHIM Darath, Head of International Cooperation Department, PSBU added that PSBU has an interest in collaborating with Mae Fah Luang University. Therefore, the purpose of this visit was to develop relationships and explore collaboration opportunities between PSBU and MFU.
The two universities agreed to schedule a follow-up meeting to discuss the details and further information about the academic collaboration and cooperative activities covering an exchange of students, staff and researchers as well as short-term programme. Moreover, the PSBU delegates had a meeting with Cambodian students who are currently studying at MFU.
