On 6 February 2024, MFU delegates led by Prof. Dr. Vanchai Sirichana, Chairman of Mae Fah Luang University Council and Asst. Prof. Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Luang University paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Mr. Han Zhiqiang Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangkok. The purposes of this visit were to strengthen relations and discuss the possibilities of initiating the new projects between MFU and China.
Mae Fah Luang University and the Chinese government have a strong partnership since the establishment of the university. The Chinese government has provided the continued support in the education of Chinese language and culture at MFU for more than 20 years. During the meeting, MFU expressed the intent to expand bilateral collaboration with China, particularly in the areas of science and technology, as well as medical science.
In addition, H.E. Mr. Han Zhiqiang complimented MFU on the collaboration proposal between MFU and China. The Embassy will continue to provide support and facilitate connections with relevant universities in China. Additionally, the Ambassador recommended MFU to visit China for exploring opportunities for cooperation.
