On 14 – 15 September 2024, Mae Fah Luang University, in collaboration with the MFU Alumni Association and the Thailand Scientific Equipment Center Network (TSEN), organised a volunteer event to produce organic cleaning products. Over 200 students, staff, and volunteers participated in the production at the Science Laboratory (S3), creating a total of 1,800 liters of cleaning products (600 liters on 14 September and 1,200 liters on 15 September). Of the 1,800 liters produced, 600 liters were donated to the Pimanninn Hotel, which is serving as a temporary disaster relief center established by the Internal Security Operations Command of Chiang Rai Province and YEC Chiang Rai/the Chiang Rai Chamber of Commerce. The remaining 800 liters were distributed to the temporary shelter at Mae Fah Luang University and 400 liters to Mae Fah Luang University staff affected by the floods.
The volunteers who participated in the event included Thai and international students from various schools and staff from different divisions within the university. Their efforts demonstrated support and encouragement for flood victims and a desire to contribute to their recovery.
