สถานทูตสหรัฐฯ และโครงการ Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) ขอเชิญชวนผู้นำเยาวชนไทย ที่มีอายุระหว่าง 18-25 ปี มาสมัครเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมแลกเปลี่ยนระยะเวลา 5 สัปดาห์ในสหรัฐฯ โดยได้รับการสนับสนุนทุนเต็มจำนวน เพื่อเพิ่มพูนทักษะการเป็นผู้นำระดับสากล เข้าใจประเด็นปัญหาระดับโลกที่สำคัญ และสร้างความสัมพันธ์ที่แข็งแกร่งกับเพื่อนร่วมรุ่นทั้งจากสหรัฐฯ และทั่วเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

ผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการ YSEALI Academic Fellows สามารถเลือกเข้าร่วม 1 ใน 4 หัวข้อของ YSEALI ได้แก่

1. Civic Engagement
Provide an overview of civic participation in the U.S. and equip participants with skills to foster active citizenship in their own communities.

2. Sustainability and Environment
Examine how environmental issues and policies impact U.S. development, using experiential learning to cover topics like climate change, renewable energy, conservation, and sustainable practices.

3. Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment
Explore U.S. entrepreneurial strategies and technologies for addressing social issues, focusing on social enterprises, economic development, and initiatives relevant to Southeast Asia.

4. Society and Governance
Examine U.S. governance and policymaking, covering topics like democracy, public management, and anti-corruption while encouraging participants to compare these practices with those in their home countries.

Applications are open for the Spring and Fall 2025 YSEALI Academic Fellows Program!

The U.S. Embassy Bangkok invites young leaders between the ages of 18-25 to apply for a five-week fully funded exchange to the United States to gain international leadership skills, deepen their understanding of critical global issues, and foster strong relationships with their peers from the U.S. as well as across Southeast Asia. YSEALI Academic Fellows can study one of four YSEALI themes: Civic Engagement; Sustainability and Environment; Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Empowerment; or Society and Governance.

Eligibility requirements for applicants

• Between the ages of 18 and 25 by the application deadline, although exceptional applicants over 25 may be considered if they meet all other eligibility requirements;
• A citizen of one of the following countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam;
• A resident of one of the following countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam;
• A full-time or part-time undergraduate student from college, university, or other institutions of higher learning; or have graduated with their undergraduate degree in the past four years;
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English;
• Not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States;
• Not employees or immediate family members of employees of the U.S. Government (including a U.S. embassy or consulate, USAID, or other U.S. Government entity);
• Not alumni of the YSEALI Academic Fellows Program; and
• Eligible to receive a U.S. J-1 visa. **Visa fees are paid by the program; there is no cost to those selected as Fellows.
