Mae Fah Luang University is proud to announce that two esteemed researchers from the School of Science, Dr. Chitrabhanu Sharma Bhunjun and Dr. Ruvishika Shehali Jayawardena, have been named to Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers 2024 list. This prestigious recognition underscores their significant contributions to advancing global knowledge through impactful publications and citations.
Both scholars have demonstrated exceptional excellence in the field of Plant and Animal Science, with their research works among the most cited worldwide. This recognition not only highlights their dedication to groundbreaking research but also affirms their influence on global scientific progress.
Being named to the World’s Top 1% is a testament to their commitment to excellence and reflects Mae Fah Luang University's dedication to fostering world-class research that benefits both national and global communities.
In 2024, Clarivate has awarded 6,886 Highly Cited Researcher designations to 6,636 individuals from more than 1,200 institutions in 59 nations and regions. These researcher have authored multiple Highly Cited Papers, ranking in the top 1% by citations for their field(s) and publication year in the Web of Science over the past decade. However, citation activity is not the sole selection indicator. The selection process involves a rigorous evaluation, considering citation activity and expert judgment to assess community-wide recognition.
