Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) in Seoul, Korea, is inviting non-Korean university students to participate in the 2025 Sungkyun Hangeul Essay Contest (University Division), taking place on Saturday, May 10, 2025 (Korean Standard Time).
This annual contest is organized to promote Korean language and culture by offering students from around the world a chance to showcase their Korean writing skills.
We’d like to encourage any students currently studying Korean to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
[Key Information]
• Date: May 10 (Sat), 2025 – 10:00 to 12:00 (Korean Standard Time)
• Format: Online (via Zoom) or Offline (at SKKU campus in Seoul)
• Eligibility: Non-Korean nationals who are current university students or graduates (in Korea or abroad)
• Essay Format: Korean-language essay, handwritten on manuscript paper (minimum 1,200 characters, completed within 90 minutes)
• Application Period: April 7 (Mon) – April 25 (Fri), 2025
