MFU Startups Shine at Regional League, Advance to National Round

On 24 May 2025, Mae Fah Luang Intellectual Property Management and Innovation Division (MFii) led five teams of MFU students to participate in the Northern regional round of the Startup Thailand League 2025 at the Science and Technology Park Chiang Mai University. Two MFU teams received awards and are eligible to advance to the national round:

The Klora team’s effervescent tablet product, designed to prolong the life of flowers, received the First Runner-Up Prize, valued at 10,000 Baht, along with a trophy. The team also received an additional 25,000 Baht in funding to further develop their prototype and showcase it at the Demo Day event, held from 4–6 July 2025 at Siam Paragon, Bangkok.

The Bactron team’s Fish Guard, a bio-enhancement agent developed from bacteriophage technology to boost immunity in freshwater animals, received 25,000 Baht in funding to develop their prototype and present their innovation at the Demo Day event in Bangkok. This product is a further development of Asst. Prof. Dr. Nanthanit Jaruseranee’s research on “Anti-biofilm activity of Phages against Pseudomonas aeruginosa TISTR1287”

The Startup Thailand League programme, organised by the National Innovation Agency (NIA) of the Ministry of Higher Education Science Research and Innovation and the Stock Exchange of Thailand, aims to develop the potential and innovation capabilities of youth in higher education. The programme equips them with entrepreneurial skills and perspectives to step into the real startup world, serving as a vital opportunity for both universities and students to advance toward becoming a true "Entrepreneurial University."

Mae Fah Luang University remains committed to supporting the potential and achievements of students.
