On 11 June 2025, the School of Management organised the opening ceremony of the "A Partnership for a University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Burch Field Research Seminar focused on Public Health, Entrepreneurship, and Food Systems" Programme. This event was held in collaboration with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC-Chapel Hill) at the Networking Space, MFU for You (M for U). The opening ceremony featured welcoming remarks by Dr. Piyatida Pianluprasidh, Dean of the School of Management, and Dr. Nichan Singhaputargun, Acting Head of the Global Relations Division.

This programme was scheduled to take place from 10 to 14 June 2025, both on MFU’s campus and in local communities within Chiang Rai Province. Its aim was to promote collaborative learning in public health, entrepreneurship, and food systems. The programme provided students and faculty from both institutions with opportunities to engage in a cross-cultural learning environment through field-based seminars, interactive lectures, on-site visits to learn from social enterprises, and academic and cultural exchanges.

This year marks the second consecutive year of academic collaboration between the two universities, signifying another significant milestone for the School of Management. This partnership advances its role in international academic service while building a long-term relationship with a globally renowned institution like the University of North Carolina. Moreover, the project aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
•    SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being
•    SDG 4: Quality Education
•    SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
•    SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
•    SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals
