Call for Applications: Well-being and Sustainable Future (WSF): Regional Disaster Management & Climate Resilience Graduate Scholarship for International Students, Academic Year 2025

Mae Fah Luang University will award six (6) full scholarships to international students for the academic year 2025 to support high-potential international students who are committed to seeking solutions to disasters and the climate crisis through learning and research in northern Thailand, the Mekong subregion, and international contexts.

The objectives of these scholarships are as follows: 

• To promote high-level research that generates knowledge and understanding, enhance technology, and produce scientific and social innovation to address, manage, and mitigate the risks and impacts caused by disasters and the climate crisis.
• To create and strengthen a network of experts, researchers, and future leaders to sustain disasters management and climate action in the Mekong subregion.

Full Scholarship Coverage: 

• Tuition fees (excluding other fees)
• Monthly living allowance of 6,000 THB per month
• On-campus accommodation
• Health insurance

Available Programmes:
Master’s Degree

• M.Sc. in Postharvest Technology and Innovation: Plan 1.1, 1.2 (Mon-Fri)
• M.Eng. in Computer Engineering: Plan A2 (Mon-Fri)
• M.A. in International Development: Plan 1.2 (Mon-Fri)
• M.B.A. in Business Administration: Plan A1    

Notes:   

Plan A1 = Thesis (not less than 36 credits), no course work   
Plan A2 = Thesis (not less than 12 credits), with course work (not less than 12 credits)
Plan    1.1 = Thesis (not less than 36 credits), no course work
Plan    1.2  = Thesis (not less than 12 credits), with course work (not less than 12 credits)

Doctoral Degree

• Ph.D. in Computer Engineering: Plan 2.1 (Mon-Fri)

Notes:  Plan 2.1 = Course work (not less than 12 credits) with Dissertation (not less than 36 credits)

Scholarship Duration:
•    Master’s Degree: two (2) academic years
•    Doctoral Degree: three (3) academic years
