MFU and Feng Chia University Co-host Short-term Student Exchange “Summer Course Program (2+2 Weeks)”

On 14 July 2025, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), led by the School of Management held the opening ceremony for the Summer Course Program (2+2 Weeks) for exchange students from Feng Chia University (FCU), Taiwan, at the M-Square Building. This marks the third consecutive year of this collaborative activity, a testament to the ongoing academic partnership between the two universities.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Darunee Wattanasiriwech, Vice President of MFU, who delivered a welcoming address and officially declared the programme open. Dr. Piyatida Pianluprasidh, Dean of the School of Management, presented the programme’s objectives. The event was also attended by Prof. Dr.Wen-Hsiang Lai from Feng Chia University, Dr. Nichan Singhaputtangkul, Acting Head of Global Relations Division, as well as lecturers from the School of Management. 

Following the ceremony, the FCU delegation had the opportunity to meet with Asst. Prof. Dr.Matchima Naradisorn, President of MFU, at the Doi Ngaem Meeting Room, Vanchai Sirichana Building. The President extended a formal welcome and engaged in a conversation with the students, discussing their motivations for joining the exchange programme at MFU. She expressed her appreciation for their visit, emphasising the importance of this opportunity for mutual academic and cultural learning, further enhancing the strong relationship between the two universities and paving the way for future collaboration across various fields.

This year's exchange programme, held from 30 June to 25 July 2025, welcomes 16 students from Feng Chia University’s College of Business, who will participate in academic and cultural activities hosted by MFU’s School of Management and related divisions over a two-week period in Chiang Rai.  Earlier in July, 23 MFU students, including 20 from the School of Management, two from the School of Agro-Industry, and one from the School of Cosmetic Science, traveled to Taiwan for a two-week exchange at Feng Chia University. These students are also participating in the opening ceremony held at MFU as part of the cross-cultural experience.

The “Summer Course Program (2+2 Weeks)” aims to enhance international academic experiences, promote cross-cultural learning, and cultivate global perspectives among students. Through shared learning and joint activities with international peers, the programme represents another milestone in MFU’s commitment to strengthening international academic cooperation and preparing students for global citizenship in a sustainable and impactful way.
