On 15 August 2025, the Global Relations Division (GRD) held the New International Student Orientation 1/2025 at Pradoo Daeng 1, General Sampao Choosri Building (E4). The orientation was designed to help new bachelor’s degree students smoothly adapt to their new academic and living environment. Representatives from various Schools and divisions, along with senior international students, also joined the event to meet and welcome the new students. For this first semester of academic year 2025, MFU welcomed over 350 new full-time and exchange students from 24 different countries.

In the opening ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of Mae Fah Luang University, officially welcomed the new students to MFU. The President remarked, “Starting university in a new country can be both exciting and a bit overwhelming. Please know that you are not alone. Our entire university community, from lecturers and staff to fellow students, stands ready to support you every step of the way.” She also encouraged the new students to seize every opportunity, embrace challenges, step outside their comfort zone, and engage in new experiences.

The orientation served as the first step into a comprehensive network of academic support, resources, and guidance. New students received valuable information on a wide range of topics, presented by relevant university divisions and experienced senior students. These topics included: MFU’s teaching system and services, student rules and responsibilities; immigration rules and regulations; student activities and facilities; health and accident insurance; library services; natural disaster response; scam and fraud prevention; exchange programmes and scholarships. Additionally, performances from student clubs and interactive activities were included to foster social interaction among new students and to strengthen their engagement with seniors and lecturers.
