Mae Fah Luang University is pleased to congratulate Ms. Chayanee Laotrakul, Administrative Officer of the Global Relations Division, on her selection to participate in the Asia-Europe Training and Youth Summit on Science and Technology Diplomacy, organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). The programme will take place from 23 October to 18 December 2025, with online training followed by an on-site youth summit in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Ms. Chayanee was selected from an exceptionally competitive pool of over 2,300 applicants from across Asia and Europe—an outstanding achievement that reflects her strong motivation, professional competence, and commitment to international cooperation. As Thailand’s representative, she will join young professionals working at the intersection of science, technology, and international relations, and will engage in intensive training, expert-led workshops, and cross-regional networking.
The programme consists of two phases:
1. Asia-Europe Online Training on Science and Technology Diplomacy (23 October – 4 December 2025), bringing together approximately 100 participants for skill-building workshops and interactive learning.
2. An in-person Asia-Europe Youth Summit (15 – 18 December 2025) in Copenhagen, Denmark held alongside the 2nd European Science Diplomacy Conference under the Danish EU Presidency.
Her participation will not only enhance her own professional skills in science diplomacy, international negotiation, and global policy engagement, but also contribute significantly to the Global Relations Division and the university community. Upon completion of the programme, Ms. Chayanee is expected to share her insights, broaden understanding of science diplomacy within MFU, and support the university’s efforts to deepen international collaboration through informed, strategic, and globally aligned initiatives.
