Yunnan Provincial Government Scholarship is provided to Thai students for degree education (Junior College Students, Undergraduates, Postgraduates, PhD Students) and non-degree education (Preparatory Undergraduates & Students for Advanced Study).
The eligibility for applicants at enrollment are as follows:
(1) Junior college study
-graduated from a senior high school or obtained a higher diploma;
-under the age of 25 in principle.
(2) Undergraduate degree
-graduated from a senior high school or obtained an equivalent diploma;
-under the age of 25 in principle.
(3) Postgraduate degree
-obtained a bachelor's or equivalent degree;
-under the age of 35 in principle.
(4) PhD degree
-obtained a postgraduate or equivalent degree;
-under the age of 40 in principle.
(5) Preparatory undergraduate study
-obtained a senior high school or higher diploma;
-under the age of 25 in principle.
(6) Advanced (Chinese Language) study
-obtained a bachelor's or higher degree;
-under the age of 55 in principle.
Students granted with Yunnan Provincial Government Scholarship are able to start his/her major learning after completing preparatory undergraduate or advanced (Chinese Language) study and passing corresponding examinations or tests.

Required Documents
Applicants are required to submit the following materials:
• A notarized highest academic degree certificate or pre-graduation certificate.
• Academic transcripts.
• Language proficiency certificates.
• A study or research plan in China.
• A Foreigner's Physical Examination Form.
• A certificate of no criminal record.
For those applying for a master's or doctoral degree, two recommendation letters written in Chinese or English by associate professors or above in the relevant field are also required. If the application project or major has additional requirements, the corresponding materials must be submitted as stipulated.
Scholarship Benefits
Yunnan Province will cover tuition fees, living expenses, and insurance costs for scholarship students during their study in Yunnan. The scholarship standards are as follows:
• Preparatory Undergraduates & Students for Advanced Study: 30,000 RMB per year per person (1 year).
• Junior College Students: 30,000 RMB per year per person (3 years).
• Undergraduate Students: 35,000 RMB per year per person (4-5 years).
• Postgraduates: 40,000 RMB per year per person (3 years).
• PhD Students: 45,000 RMB per year per person (4 years).
Round-trip travel expenses are to be borne by the scholarship students themselves.
Yunnan Provincial Government Scholarship winners shall abide by the laws and regulations of China as well as the disciplines and regulations of respective higher institution. The qualification for the scholarship would be canceled if any violation on laws or regulations occurs.
