The ASEAN University Network (AUN) Secretariat is pleased to share that the call for applications for the 2026 ASEAN–Maybank Scholarship Programme is now open.
The application period runs from 12 January to 20 February 2026.
The AMS programme is a partnership between Maybank Foundation and the ASEAN Secretariat. It is one of the ASEAN-level initiatives undertaken by Maybank Foundation, an accredited ASEAN entity, with the aim to “promote an innovative ASEAN approach to higher education”, which is one of the strategic measures listed in the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint 2045.
The scholarship programme is designed to provide young, talented, and deserving ASEAN nationals with full scholarships to pursue their undergraduate studies outside their home countries at prestigious universities listed under the ASEAN University Network (AUN) core and associate members.
The scholarship is open to:
1. International students of ASEAN nationality who are currently pursuing their first year of undergraduate studies at AUN member universities; and
2. Incoming international students of ASEAN nationality who have received an official offer of admission from AUN member universities and are eligible to apply.

Recipients of the AMS will have the chance to experience thrilling internship opportunities. Scholars can have internship and holiday break assignment programmes at the ASEAN Secretariat, ASEAN Foundation, or Maybank offices regionally, as well as participate as volunteers in Maybank and Maybank Foundation’s existing flagship programmes regionally.
3. JOB PLACEMENT
Upon graduation, scholars will serve a 3-year bond at either Maybank, the ASEAN Secretariat or ASEAN Foundation.
4. DISCIPLINE OF STUDY
Arts and Design, Business and Management, Computer Science and Information Technology, Education, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Science / Studies, Humanities, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Future Ready-Related Courses (example: Data Science and Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning, Digital Marketing, Environmental Sustainability, etc.).
