Call for Applications: CNU International Summer School 2026, South Korea

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) invites students to apply for the 2026 CNU International Summer School (CNUISS) hosted by Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea.

This four-week international summer program offers MFU students the opportunity to study in a global classroom, earn academic credits, and experience Korean culture through a variety of excursions and activities with students from over 20 countries.

Program Information

• Host University: Chonnam National University
• Location: Gwangju, South Korea
• Program Duration: 29 June – 24 July 2026 (4 weeks)
• Application Deadline: 23 March 2026
• Check-in (Dormitory): 27–28 June 2026
• Language of Instruction: English
• Academic Credit: Up to 6 credits (2 courses, 3 credits each)
• Class Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday

Program Highlights

• Study up to two international courses taught by distinguished faculty
• Learn alongside domestic and international students
• Join a Buddy Program with CNU students
• Participate in cultural excursions and activities, including:
  • Hanbok (traditional Korean costume) experience
  • Gwangju cultural and history tours
  • KIA Tigers baseball game
  • Yeosu night cruise tour
  • Glamping activity with teammates
  • Seoul tour

Accommodation

Participants will stay in on-campus dormitories at Chonnam National University.
Note: Full MMR vaccination records must be submitted by mid-June.

Eligibility

Open to all MFU students from any program, degree level, and year of study.

Program Fee

Partner University Student:

• 1,500,000 KRW (approx. THB 33,000)

The program fee includes the non-refundable application fee of 150,000 KRW.

Participants are responsible for:

• Round-trip airfare
• Visa
• Travel and health insurance
• Personal expenses
• Additional meals and activities not included in the program

Travel Grant Opportunity

MFU students may apply for the MFU Travel Grant (20,000 THB).

Eligible applicants must:

• Be Bachelor’s students (2nd year or above) with GPAX ≥ 2.75, or
• Be Master’s/Doctoral students with GPAX ≥ 3.25
• Have valid English test scores (e.g., TOEIC ≥ 600, MFU-TEP ≥ 60, IELTS ≥ 6.0, or equivalent)
