On 23 April 2026, Times Higher Education (THE) announced the results of the THE Asia University Rankings 2026. Mae Fah Luang University was placed in the 401–500 band among 929 ranked universities from 36 countries and territories across Asia. The University is ranked joint 35th in ASEAN and joint 5th in Thailand out of 31 participating Thai universities.
The ranking is based on five performance indicators: Teaching (24.5%), Research Environment (28%), Research Quality (30%), Industry (10%), and International Outlook (7.5%).
Mae Fah Luang University continues to be ranked No. 1 in Thailand for International Outlook, with its score increasing from 58.2 to 64.1 this year.
