Assistant Professor Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University, represented Thailand at the global forum “Deep Dialogue London 2026,” held during 5–7 May 2026 in London. Convened under the theme “Business as Unusual: Leadership in International Education Transformation,” the event brought together distinguished leaders from 23 countries to exchange perspectives on the future of higher education.

Organised by the British Council in partnership with AdvanceHE and Universities UK International, the forum served as a platform for global dialogue on leadership strategies in the internationalisation of tertiary education. Participants explored how institutions can adapt to a rapidly changing landscape shaped by geopolitical uncertainties, the impacts of global conflicts, accelerating digital transformation, and increasing financial pressures amid evolving learner demands. The discussions emphasised that meaningful transformation requires revisiting institutional vision, while ensuring that strategic operations remain flexible and adaptive in order to achieve genuine and lasting change.

Dr. Romyen contributed to the global dialogue by sharing insights and experiences in advancing international education, particularly Mae Fah Luang University’s focus on fostering global citizenship, promoting well-being, and advancing a sustainable future through internationalisation. She also joined the panel discussion “Re-imagining Women’s Leadership in Higher Education,” alongside international leaders including a Minister of Education from Ukraine and distinguished female academics from Egypt, Ukraine, and Swansea University.
