Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program hosted by National Quemoy University in Taiwan.

The programme will take place from September 2026 to January 2027 and offers MFU students a valuable opportunity to gain international academic experience while exploring Taiwan’s innovation, business, tourism, and cultural environment.

This fully funded mobility programme is designed to enhance students’ global competencies through intensive Mandarin language learning, cross-cultural exchange, industry visits, and experiential learning activities. Participants will also have the chance to build international networks and broaden their perspectives in an international learning environment.

Selected students will receive comprehensive scholarship support, including:

• Round-trip airfare subsidy
• Free dormitory accommodation
• Monthly living allowance
• Intensive Mandarin language courses
• Cultural activities and field trips
• Business and tourism industry visits
• Medical insurance coverage

The programme is open to undergraduate and graduate students from all fields of study who have completed at least one semester at MFU. Applicants should possess good English communication skills, demonstrate strong motivation to study abroad, and be committed to participating throughout the programme duration.

2026 New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program

Students who are interested in joining the programme must complete the following steps carefully before the application deadline.

Step 1: Download and Complete the Application Forms

Applicants must complete the following forms:

1. MFU Outbound Student Exchange Programme Application Form
2. NQU Application Form

Step 2: Prepare Required Documents (PDF Format)

Please prepare all documents in PDF format before submission.

Required Documents:

• Academic Transcript (requested via REG)
• Certificate of Student Status (requested via REG)
• Parental Consent Form with copy of parent’s ID card/passport
  (Digital signature accepted)
• Advisor Consent Form
  (Digital signature accepted)
• Dean Consent Form
  (Digital signature accepted)
• Copy of valid passport
  Students must hold a valid passport before applying.
• Additional supporting documents such as:

Step 3: Submit Your Application

Step 4: Attend the MFU Online Interview

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an online interview via Zoom.

Interview Date: 24 June 2026
Time: 2:00 PM

A confirmation email and Zoom link will be sent to selected applicants after the application review process.

Step 5: Await Final Selection Results

Mae Fah Luang University will nominate qualified students to National Quemoy University for final consideration.

Please note:

• The final scholarship selection will be made solely by NQU.
• Selected students must maintain their MFU student status throughout the programme.
• Students wishing to transfer credits must consult their academic advisor and school before participation.
