MFU VIce President Attends 16th International Staff Training Week in Poland, Advancing Academic Ties

Asst. Prof. Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University attended the 16th International Staff Training Week, an international event organised as part of the Erasmus+ programme, and delivered a talk on the transformation of higher education and learning amidst deglobalisation and friend shoring. The event was held at the University of Applied Sciences (UAS) in Nysa, Poland from 18 – 22 May 2026. 

Held under the theme “Change Management at the Universities”, the event focused on the challenges facing contemporary universities. Dynamic technological changes, the rise of artificial intelligence, the growing role of digitization, and evolving student expectations are forcing universities to continually adapt their operational strategies, curricula, and management models.

This edition of the International Staff Training Week served as a platform for 30 representatives from universities and institutions across Europe, Asia and Africa to exchange experiences. Through lectures, workshops, and panel discussions, participants explored critical topics such as the digital transformation of universities, implementing AI tools in education and administration, the internationalisation of higher education, and building modern, resilient academic institutions. 

In addition, Asst. Prof. Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont discussed potential academic cooperation with the President and Vice President of UAS in Nysa. Their talks explored collaboration in the fields of cosmetic science, nursing, and sports and health science, with the initial steps focusing on faculty exchange programmes.

This participation reflects MFU’s ongoing commitment to exchanging global perspectives and engaging in collaborative dialogues to build strong international relationships and foster meaningful academic partnerships.
