MFU Vice President Attends the 250th Anniversary of U.S. Independence in Chiang Mai

On 23 June 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr.Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University, attended the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America at the Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel. The grand reception was hosted by the U.S. Consulate General in Chiang Mai. 

Guests of honour included H.E. Mr. Sean K. O’Neill, Ambassador of the United States to the Kingdom of Thailand; H.E. Dr. Parnpree Bahiddha-Nukara, Chief Advisor and Special Envoy of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; and Ms. Kelia Cummins, the U.S. Consul General in Chiang Mai. The event was also attended by numerous distinguished guests and representatives from various public and private sectors across Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand.

Throughout the years, MFU has cultivated a robust relationship with the United States, built upon a foundation of official courtesy visits, academic collaborations, student exchange programmes, and the hosting of U.S. Fulbright Specialist. Moving forward, Mae Fah Luang University remains committed to strengthening its international networks with U.S. partners to cultivate global citizens and drive sustainable academic excellence.
