Special Lecture: "Growth of India over the Last Decade – From Fragility to Frontier Power"

Mae Fah Luang University, in collaboration with the Consulate of India in Chiang Mai, is proud to organise a special lecture titled "Growth of India over the Last Decade – From Fragility to Frontier Power" as part of our Global Perspective series.

The Global Perspective series was initiated to broaden the horizons of MFU staff, students, and the local Chiang Rai community through direct engagement with international leaders. By providing deep insights into the unique strengths and strategic focus areas of featured countries, this initiative serves as a platform for meaningful academic exchanges and the development of sustainable partnerships.

This insightful address will examine India’s multi-dimensional transformation over the last 12 years including

• Economic Transformation: How India shifted from the "Fragile Five" to becoming the world's 5th largest economy.
• Tech & Infrastructure Leaps: Insights into India's Digital Public Infrastructure 
• Sustainable Growth: India’s success in decoupling economic growth from greenhouse emissions.
• India-Thailand Synergy: High-value bilateral opportunities aligning India’s "Act East" and Thailand’s "Look West" policies, including the Trilateral Highway, UPI-PromptPay integration, and linking India's LiFE movement with Thailand's BCG Economic Model.

About the Speaker: Mr. Pranav Ganesh, Consul of India in Chiang Mai
Mr. Pranav Ganesh has over 20 years of extensive experience working in the Ministry of External Affairs of India, having been posted to Embassies and Consulates General in various countries around the world.

ส่วนพัฒนาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประเทศ มหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง ร่วมกับสถานกงสุลอินเดีย ประจำจังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ขอเชิญผู้สนใจเข้าร่วมฟังการบรรยายพิเศษในหัวข้อ "Growth of India over the Last Decade – From Fragility to Frontier Power" ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกิจกรรมซีรีส์ Global Perspective

โครงการ Global Perspective มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปิดโลกทัศน์และมุมมองระดับสากลให้แก่นักศึกษา บุคลากรมหาวิทยาลัยแม่ฟ้าหลวง รวมถึงประชาชนในพื้นที่จังหวัดเชียงราย ผ่านการแลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้โดยตรงกับผู้นำและผู้เชี่ยวชาญระดับนานาชาติ การบรรยายในครั้งนี้จะช่วยให้ผู้เข้าร่วมได้รับความรู้เชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับจุดแข็งและยุทธศาสตร์ที่สำคัญของประเทศอินเดีย ตลอดจนเป็นเวทีในการส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวิชาการและการพัฒนาความร่วมมือที่ยั่งยืนร่วมกัน

การเจาะลึกความสำเร็จในการพลิกโฉมประเทศอินเดียในหลากหลายมิติในช่วง 12 ปีที่ผ่านมา โดยมีประเด็นสำคัญ ได้แก่:

• การพลิกโฉมเศรษฐกิจ: เบื้องหลังการก้าวจากกลุ่มประเทศเศรษฐกิจเปราะบาง สู่การเป็นประเทศที่มีเศรษฐกิจใหญ่เป็นอันดับ 5 ของโลก
• ความก้าวหน้าด้านเทคโนโลยีและโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน
• การเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน: ความสำเร็จในการขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจควบคู่ไปกับการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจก
• โอกาสและความร่วมมือไทย-อินเดีย: การสอดประสานระหว่างนโยบาย "Act East" ของอินเดีย และ "Look West" ของไทย รวมถึงโอกาสทางเศรษฐกิจจากโครงการทางหลวง 3 ฝ่าย, การเชื่อมต่อระบบชำระเงิน UPI กับ Prompt Pay, และการผสานแนวคิดโครงการ LiFE เข้ากับโมเดลเศรษฐกิจ BCG ของไทย

วิทยากร: ท่านประณพ คเณศ (Mr. Pranav Ganesh) กงสุลอินเดีย ณ จังหวัดเชียงใหม่
ท่านมีประสบการณ์การทำงานในกระทรวงการต่างประเทศของอินเดียมาอย่างยาวนานกว่า 20 ปี โดยเคยประจำการในสถานเอกอัครราชทูตและสถานกงสุลใหญ่ในหลายประเทศทั่วโลก
