Pre-Arrival Session: Preparing New International Students for the Semester Start

With the August 2026 semester just around the corner, the Global Relations Division (GRD) hosted a virtual Pre-Arrival Information Session via Zoom on 10 July 2026. The online event was designed to give the latest cohort of international students a comprehensive head start on their university journey.

A dedicated team of GRD staff and international senior students took the lead, guiding participants through the essential logistics of moving abroad. The briefing mapped out vital administrative steps—such as visa procedures and pickup service—alongside practical advice on accommodation arrangements, local transport, and campus facilities. Newcomers also got an authentic taste of daily life in Chiang Rai, including insights into international student club and extracurricular activities.

To make the virtual gathering truly collaborative, the event wrapped up with a Q&A section. This interactive format allowed incoming students to voice their personal queries, ease any pre-travel anxieties, and begin building connections within the MFU international community well before their arrival.
