The delegation was led by Professor Dr. Vanchai Sirichana, Chairman of the University Council, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President, alongside Asst. Prof. Dr. Romyen Kosaikanont, Vice President. They were joined by the Board of Directors of the Sirindhorn Chinese Language and Culture Centre, as well as the Deans from the Schools of Agro-Industry, Applied Digital Technology, Liberal Arts, Management, and Sinology.
At XMU, the MFU leadership met with university executives and representatives from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, the Chinese International Education College (Overseas Education College), and the School of Economics. Their discussions centred on forging further strategic cooperation, with a particular focus on AI-Assisted Education and Innovative Teaching Models. Potential areas for further cooperation included AI-driven instructional resource development, the advancement of Thai language teaching at XMU, the exchange of professors, staff members, and students, and joint research in tourism, sustainable agriculture, and R & D in AI and robotics.
Beyond academia, the delegation engaged with key industry pioneers in cyber security, robotics software, and the food industry at the SUN China Group, SDIC Intelligence Information Technology Co., Ltd., and the Yuanqi Innovation Robot Exhibition Centre. These industry visits provided a vital platform to exchange executive perspectives, explore cutting-edge software development, and observe best practices in both information technology and the food and agriculture sectors, as well as to discuss internship opportunities for MFU students.
In addition, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to Miss Sasarak Sasivanij, Consul-General at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Xiamen, to exchange perspectives on city development, activities organised by the Royal Thai Consulate-General, and internship opportunities.
This landmark visit represents a significant milestone in MFU’s ongoing mission to expand its global academic and research networks. By prioritising AI-assisted learning, innovative pedagogy, and international business strategies, these new collaborations will drive educational excellence, foster vital knowledge sharing, and unlock unprecedented opportunities for MFU students.
