MFU Organises English Skills Training to Elevate Staff Capabilities and International Communication

The MFU Learning Innovation Institute (MLii) has launched an English skills training programme for over 200 university staff members, running from 3 August to 7 November 2026. As English proficiency is an essential skill in higher education—particularly within Mae Fah Luang University’s internationalised environment—the initiative aims to ensure staff are fully equipped to handle daily operations, teaching and learning, academic services, and international networking effectively.

Instructed by faculty members from the School of Liberal Arts, the programme offers five courses, ranging from Basic English to Office Communication and Professional Communication & Presentation Skills. The curriculum focuses on strengthening listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills by applying them directly to real-world workplace contexts. Ultimately, the training is designed to build staff confidence when collaborating with international partners and to help them create accurate, audience-specific content that bolsters MFU’s global image. 

This capacity-building project aligns with Mae Fah Luang University’s fifth strategic development plan, which prioritises workforce development, lifelong learning, and global citizenship. By empowering staff with essential 21st-century skills, MFU ensures its workplace can adapt to global changes and deliver high-quality work on an international scale.
