The School of Sinology, in collaboration with the Confucius Institute at Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), hosted an orientation programme for incoming Chinese volunteer teachers for the Academic Year 2026 on 21 July 2026 at the Doi Tung Meeting Room, Vanchai Sirichana Building (AD1). Asst. Prof. Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of MFU, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Darunee Wattanasiriwech, Vice President, welcomed the visiting teachers and delivered welcome remarks.

The event welcomed 14 Chinese volunteer teachers, including five from Beijing Normal University and nine from Xiamen University, who will teach Chinese language and culture at MFU for one academic year.

The orientation aimed to familiarise the teachers with the university's organisational culture, academic responsibilities, and professional ethics prior to the start of the new academic year.

This academic collaboration with leading institutions in the People's Republic of China plays a vital role in enriching MFU's language-learning environment through immersive engagement with native speakers.

The joint effort between the School of Sinology, the Confucius Institute at MFU, and Chinese partner universities highlights MFU's commitment to advancing Chinese language and cultural education while further strengthening educational ties between Thailand and China.
