MFU School of Health Science Visits Universiti Malaya to Advance Academic Collaboration

Prof. Dr. Theerasak Boonwang, Head of the Master of Science in Applied Sports Science and Technology Programme, visited the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Science (FSSE) at Universiti Malaya, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 27-31 July 2026. The visit aimed to advance academic collaboration between the two institutions under MFU's academic collaboration development project.
The MFU delegation met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulkarnain Bin Jaafar, Dean of FSSE, together with programme chairs and faculty members, to discuss collaborative opportunities in five key areas: teaching and learning, research, student and staff exchange, joint academic activities, and curriculum development aligned with international standards.
Both institutions also exchanged insights on curriculum structures, student development initiatives, and research support mechanisms to further deepen the cooperation networking.
During the visit, the MFU delegation toured FSSE’s classrooms, laboratories, learning centers, and sports science facilities to observe operational management and the application of sports science technology. The insights and knowledge gained from this visit will be utilised to modernise MFU’s Sports and Health Science Programme in line with global standards.
This visit marks a significant milestone in building the collaborative network between Mae Fah Luang University and Universiti Malaya, laying a solid foundation for future joint initiatives in teaching, research, exchange programs, and curriculum development.
