On 15 May 2019, Mae Fah Luang University held the inauguration ceremony of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chayaporn Wattanasiri as the new President in the Princess Srinagarindra Auditorium (C4). The ceremony was attended by MFU’s executives, lecturers, staff members, students, the general public, and representatives from many other departments in Chiang Rai province.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vanchai Sirichana retired from his position as the President of Mae Fah Luang University,on 28 April 2019. In this regard, the Royal Gazette made public the royal command announcing the appointment of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chayaporn Wattanasiri as the President of Mae Fah Luang University begining 29 April 2019.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chayaporn Wattanasiri stated that she would do her best as the President to maintain the dignity and pride of MFU. Following the philosophy of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra to “Restore the forest and develop the people” and the founder President’s determination, she will continue to enhance the university’s development and performance.
