MFU Hosts “Well-being and Sustainable Futures” Event with Zumba Dance to Promote Wellness Culture

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), led by the Public Relations Division and internal units, hosted the "Well-being and Sustainable Futures: Healthy Living, Sustainable Ways, Moving Forward Together" on 30 September 2026 at the Pradoo Daeng Courtyard, M-Square building. The event aimed to promote a health-conscious and sustainability-minded organisational culture through a health forum, a second-hand market, and group exercise. During the opening ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Matchima Naradisorn, President of MFU, stated, "The collective energy of our staff, students and the entire MFU community is essential to transforming our vision into tangible outcomes. This event represents a meaningful step toward promoting a wellness culture and sustainable development, while unifying units across the university to drive our shared goals."

Ms. Thananya Boonyoung, Head of the Public Relations Division, reported that the event was co-organised with the Property and Asset Management Office, MFU Sports Center, Human Resources Division, Building and Grounds Division and Student Development Affairs Division. In line with MFU's vision as "A Global Partner for Well-being and Sustainable Futures," the initiative aimed to raise physical and mental health awareness, encourage resource efficiency, and strengthen the MFU FIRST organisational culture of unity.

The event featured a health talk titled "Happy Beauty Healthy as You Are: Healthy, Happy and Beautiful from the Inside Out" led by Dr. Jarasphol Rintra, Dean of the School of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. The talk focused on health management and longevity through three key areas: emotion, exercise, and diet. Topics included stress management, sleep quality, sun exposure, exercise initiation, balancing cardio and weight training, and protein intake, as well as practical considerations regarding intermittent fasting (IF), carbohydrate reduction, and weight-loss medication pens. 

The event also featured the Share & Care Market, where staff passed on second-hand items for reuse, as well as a Zumba dance session led by certified instructors from Chiang Rai province. 

MFU continues to support staff quality of life and build a unified organisational culture, advancing its vision as a leading university in ASEAN and and a global partner for well-being and a sustainable future.
