Categories: SDG02 SDG03 SDG09 SDG15 SDG17

Mae Fah Luang University is proud to announce that 13 researchers have been named in the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2026 list, compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier.

The list identifies the most influential scholars globally based on the frequency their publications are cited by other researchers. Selection is draws from the top 100,000 scientists across 20 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields. The rankings utilise standardised citation indicators such as information on citations, H-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score) to reflect a researcher’s global academic impacts and influence. The list assessed both career-long impact (up to the end of 2025) and citation impact during the single calendar year 2025.

The 2026 results highlight the continuous growth and potential of MFU researchers. The University has seen a notable rise compared to 2025, which featured two researchers in the Career-long category and 12 in the Single-Year category.

This year’s recognition spans diverse subfields, including Mycology & Parasitology, Food Science, Biotechnology, Polymers, Business & Management, and Dermatology & Venereal Diseases. This achievement underscores MFU’s research strengths, the high quality of its publications, the growing international recognition, and the University’s increasing capacity to deliver research with global impact.
