Research Fellowship Opportunities at MENDELU Faculty of Business and Economics, Czech Republic

The Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) at Mendel University in Brno (MENDELU), Czech Republic, is officially inviting applications for its Research Fellowship Program. This international program is designed to foster academic collaboration, joint publications, and long-term institutional synergy by supporting advanced student research.

Key Program Details

  • Target Group: Open primarily to PhD students, as well as advanced Master's students.

  • Duration: Minimum of 31 days up to 90 days (or a full semester).

  • Research Model: Highly research-driven stays based on aligning the candidate’s expertise with a dedicated MENDELU academic supervisor.

Specialized Research Institutes & Academic Focus

Applicants are encouraged to align their research proposals with MENDELU’s specialized research centers and 8 academic departments:

  • Bioeconomic Modelling: Researching environmental management, sustainable forestry, and agribusiness through advanced statistics and machine learning.

  • Smart Society: Analyzing global societal trends—such as workforce ageing, digitalization, societal resilience, and sustainability—from managerial, sociological, legal, and psychological perspectives.

  • Spatial Hub: Investigating human behavior, smart environments, and interactive user interfaces using Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and wearable technologies.

  • MENDEL FinAct: Exploring corporate finance, behavioral economics, asset valuation, financial regulation, and the influence of AI and social networks on financial markets.

  • Consumer Lab: Studying consumer behavior patterns and sustainable consumption using neuroscientific tools such as EEG and eye-tracking.

  • Academic Departments: Research areas span Economics, Business Economics, Management, Statistics & Operations Research, Finance & Accounting, Marketing & Trade, Informatics, and Law & Social Sciences.

Funding & Financial Terms
