A Visit from the Australian Ambassador to Thailand

On 8 October 2019, Mae Fah Luang University had the great honour of receiving Ambassador of Australia to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Allan McKinnon PSM and the delegates from the Australian Embassy in Bangkok. The purposes of this visit were to strengthen relations and discuss academic cooperation possibilities between MFU and Australian universities.

MFU has long-standing relations with Australia and is now developing the collaboration with Australia universities including the cooperation in Aviation Business Management between the School of Management and Griffith University and the cooperation between the School of Agro-Industry and Western Sydney University. During the visit, H.E. Mr. Allan McKinnon PSM stated that the embassy would facilitate further educational collaboration for visiting scholars between MFU and Australian higher education institutes particularly in the field of Nursing.

Additionally, since MFU is committed to helping its students to develop entrepreneurial mindset and skills, the Ambassador recommended MFU cooperate with business sector in Australia to prepare graduates to be ready for self-employment and any professional pursuit. Altogether, MFU and the Australian Embassy expect that future educational cooperation will establish a strong relationship and support sustainable development in the two countries.
