Programme’s Philosophy
The Applied Thai Traditional Medicine Program focuses on the conservation the Thai Traditional medicine knowledge, which is ensuring the sustainability of the Thai national wisdom, and also develop new knowledge in this field to catch with the modernization of all alternative medicine. Graduates will be taught and trained with sufficient skills as an Applied Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner which has the ability of self-development and can help improve the Traditional Medicine profession. By using scientific and medical science knowledge as a base for Thai Traditional Medicine research and development, which is recognized on a national and / or international level.

- Apply the fundamentals of medical science and Applied Thai Traditional Medicine profession in practical operations

- Having operational skills on a clinical level; integrating Thai Traditional Medicine theory with other fields in practical operations
- Having analytical thinking, problem-solving and lifelong learning skills; developing new Thai Traditional Medicine knowledge with research study model

Programme’s Highlights
- Graduates are competent and can provide healthcare services in treatment, disease prevention and health promotion, using Thai Traditional Medicine knowledge integrated with with conventional medical science, Lanna folk medicine and other alternative medicines
- Encourage students to co-create healthcare innovation and research, update on recent developed knowledge in order to aid in self-development with a systematic approach
- Encourage students have competency in healthcare business management on a national and / or international level, to become a healthcare entrepreneur
- Various supporting facilities such as Medicinal Plants Innovation Center (MPIC), Mae Fah Luang University Hospital, Herbal Medicine Pilot Plant (GMP/PICs certified), Herbal Material Processing Unit and Mae Fah Luang University Botanical Garden)

- Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner or other careers related to Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner in government agencies i.e., public hospital, ministry of public health and other government agencies
- Other careers related to Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner in private agencies or health business establishments
- Business management i.e., Thai Traditional Medicine clinic, herbal drugs production; and other related careers i.e., natural products production
