The Applied Thai Traditional Medicine Program focuses on the conservation the Thai Traditional medicine knowledge, which is ensuring the sustainability of the Thai national wisdom, and also develop new knowledge in this field to catch with the modernization of all alternative medicine. Graduates will be taught and trained with sufficient skills as an Applied Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner which has the ability of self-development and can help improve the Traditional Medicine profession. By using scientific and medical science knowledge as a base for Thai Traditional Medicine research and development, which is recognized on a national and / or international level.

  1. Express the moral, ethics, positive attitude towards society and be good global citizens as well as understand humans as an individual and in communities
  2. Apply knowledge of science, language, information technology, communication and numerical communication in practical operations
  3. Apply the fundamentals of medical science and Applied Thai Traditional Medicine profession in practical operations
  4. Having Applied Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner skills as well as being an entrepreneur in Applied Thai Traditional Medicine profession
  5. Having operational skills on a clinical level; integrating Thai Traditional Medicine theory with other fields in practical operations
  6. Having analytical thinking, problem-solving and lifelong learning skills; developing new Thai Traditional Medicine knowledge with research study model
  7. Having leadership skills and can efficiently work in a multidisciplinary setting
  8. Having efficient work in a multicultural community

  1. Graduates are competent and can provide healthcare services in treatment, disease prevention and health promotion, using Thai Traditional Medicine knowledge integrated with with conventional medical science, Lanna folk medicine and other alternative medicines
  2. Encourage students to co-create healthcare innovation and research, update on recent developed knowledge in order to aid in self-development with a systematic approach
  3. Encourage students have competency in healthcare business management on a national and / or international level, to become a healthcare entrepreneur
  4. Various supporting facilities such as Medicinal Plants Innovation Center (MPIC), Mae Fah Luang University Hospital, Herbal Medicine Pilot Plant (GMP/PICs certified), Herbal Material Processing Unit and Mae Fah Luang University Botanical Garden)

1.  Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner or other careers related to Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner in government agencies i.e., public hospital, ministry of public health and other government agencies

2.  Other careers related to Thai Traditional Medicine practitioner in private agencies or health business establishments

3.  Business management i.e., Thai Traditional Medicine clinic, herbal drugs production; and other related careers i.e., natural products production

PLO1: Behaves according to the Thai Traditional Medicine code of conduct; comprise of honesty, discipline, responsibility, compassion, salutary and socially conscious as a global citizen

PLO2: Explain principles, concepts and theories in medical science, Thai Traditional Medicine, folk medicine, alternative medicine and healthcare business management

PLO3:  Co-Create healthcare innovation and research through critical thinking and synthesis information processes; integrating Thai Traditional Medicine knowledge with other conventional medical knowledge within the healthcare system

PLO4:   Display leadership skills as well as responsible in self-directed learning for personal improvement; efficiently work in a multidisciplinary setting and in a multicultural community

PLO5:  Perform information technology to gather information, communication and provide an efficient presentation

PLO6: Perform practical operation, as according to the Applied Thai Traditional Medicine profession standard
