MFU’s Student Exchange Programme is designed to offer a one-semester or one-year study abroad programme for students from foreign countries to study their chosen fields in an international atmosphere at MFU.
The programme is beneficial for international students anticipating careers in Asia or with multinational corporations as well as for those seeking advanced degrees in international or area studies.

Why MFU?

Since 1998, Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) has been established as a public autonomous university situated in Chiang Rai province, Thailand, the gateway to the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS), in the heart of the ASEAN region.

Over twenty-five years, MFU has been widely recognized as one of the region’s fastest growing institutions. MFU provides over 71 cutting-edge and essential programmes in Health Science, Science and Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines. The university has not only used English as a medium of instruction but also promoted “Blended Learning” as a method of teaching and extra curriculum activities.

Utilizing the “University in the Park” concept, MFU offers an environment and culture highly conducive to living and learning, attracting numerous visitors from many countries annually. The quality of teaching, academic service and research excellence have led to various forms of cooperation and collaboration and have encouraged the rapidly increasing number of international students.

At MFU, Global Relations Division (GRD) offers friendly and helpful advice on the initial enquiry stage, application procedures, immigration as well as travel guidance. We urge you to consider MFU as the University of your choice on your path to future learning.
