CALL FOR APPLICATION: The Student Exchange Programme on the University Mobility in Asia and the Pacific (UMAP)

MFU is calling for applications for participating in the UMAP Programme under the 1st Cycle of UMAP Program A&B (Winter/Spring 2024) for one semester from January to May 2024. The cycles will include eight universities from three counties (Japan, Canada and Brunei Darussalam).

Qualifications

1. GPAX is 2.50 or above. 
2. Be MFU student (Undergraduate/Graduate in any fields)
3. Be the second, third or fourth year undergraduate student (completed at least two semesters of studies at the undergraduate level); or a graduate student who have completed at least one year of study at MFU
4. Have good command in English
5. Be responsible for other expenses that occurred during the study 
6. Be in good physical condition
7. Be open-minded, high motivated to learn new things, and adaptable in all situations
8. Application must receive permission from his/her parents to participate in the student exchange programme.
 

Note: International students studying at Mae Fah Luang University can apply to go as exchange students. International students are not permitted to attend a host institution in their home country. The selection criteria listed above also apply to international students.
 

Required Documents to be Submitted with Application Form

1. MFU Student Exchange Application Form Download form: Click here and choose Student Exchange Programme Application Form (Outbound) 
2. Select your top 2 preferred institutions by registration at https://usco2.umap.org/Account/Register/ (use g-mail to register) and attach the scanned file of the following documents:
•    A copy of the passport
•    Certificate of Enrollment (Certificate of student status)
•    Official Transcript
•    English Proficiency Certificate (Optional)
 

Scholarship Availability

1. Tuition Fee at Host Universtiy (waived)
2. Travel Expenses **MFU will support students who have qualified for traveling cost as follows:
 - ASEAN + 3 countries = 10,000 THB
 - Others countries = 20,000 THB
3. Full Scholarship from outsourced, requirements are as follows: 
 1. GPAX ≥ 2.75 
 2. English Language Requirements;
  2.1 TOEIC ≥ 600
  2.2 TOEFL (• Paper-based ≥ 550 or • Computer-based ≥213 or •Internet-based ≥79-80)
  2.3 IELTS ≥ 6.0 
  2.4 MFU-TEP ≥ 60 
 3. Accepted from Host University
