MFU Lecturers Ranked in the World's Top 2% Scientists 2023 by Stanford University

     Mae Fah Luang University would like to congratulate nine lecturers who have been named in the global list of the top 2% of scientists created by Stanford University released on 4 October 2023. The list identifies the top scholars in their own areas of specialty and whose publications are most frequently cited by other authors around the globe. 

     Stanford University scientists have created the database of over 100,000 top scientists of the world on the basis of standardized citation indicators such as information on citations, H-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score). The list selected the top 2% scientists worldwide in 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields according to the standard Science-Metrix classification by assessing their career-long impact until the end of 2022 and citation impact during the single calendar year 2022.   

     Adjunct. Prof. Dr. Kevin D. Hyde, a lecturer of the School of Science and the Director of the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research has been ranked in the world's top 2% scientists for both career-long citation impact and single-year citation impact (2022). 

     Additionally, there were eight lecturers who were named among the world's top 2% scientists for the single-year (2022) citation impact including 
1. Assoc. Prof. Dr.Saroat Rawdkuen, a lecturer of Food Science and Technology Programme, the School of Agro-Industry; 
2. Assoc. Prof. Dr.Orawan Suwantong, a lecturer of Applied Chemistry programme, the School of Science;  
3. Asst. Prof. Dr.Ekachai Chukeatirote, a lecturer of Bioscience programme, the School of Science; 
4. Dr. Saranyaphat Boonmee, a lecturer of Bioscience programme, the School of Science; 
5. Dr. Ruvishika Shehali Jayawardena, a lecturer of Bioscience programme, the School of Science; 
6. Dr.Thilini Chethana Kandawatte Wedaralalage, a lecturer of the School of Science;  and 
7. Dr.Putarak Chomnunti, a lecturer of Bioscience programme, the School of Science; and 
8. Dr. Chayanard Phukhamsakda, a researcher of the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research
