On 8 July 2024, X-Culture and the School of Management of Mae Fah Luang University warmly welcomed X-Culture students from around the world to the X-Culture Global Business Week 2024, held at Mae Fah Luang University.
Co-organised by X-Culture and the School of Management from 8 – 12 July 2024, the X-Culture Global Business Week 2024 brings together over 200 top business students from around the world including 29 students from the School of Management, MFU to tackle real business problems. X-Culture involves students, professors, business, and research. Students work with international members to develop market entry plans for leading companies in Chiang Rai province such as Doi Kham, Thanapiriya Public Company Limited, Singha Park, Sooknirund Hotel, and Suwirun Teashop.
This week-long professional development event provides participants with numerous opportunities to compete in a client consulting project challenge; attend sessions on cultural differences, worldwide time zones and communication barriers; and experience cultural visits and events. Throughout the programme, students collaborate with other X-Culture students and faculty.
Assoc. Prof. Dr.Darunee Wattanasiriwech, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University, stated in her opening remarks that hosting this international project aligns with the university’s vision of becoming a leading university with international recognition. It also provides a great opportunity to establish networks with business and educational institutions worldwide.
Each year, over 10,000 students from over 400 institutions around the world participate in X-culture, which the top 150 students invited to participate in the annual X-culture international symposium. The X-Culture Global Business Week is a valuable opportunity for students to learn how to work and communicate with international teams, developing business solutions from diverse cultural perspectives. The necessary skills and experience gained during the event will indeed help prepare them for future leadership roles. This event signifies Mae Fah Luang University’s significant step in enhancing its educational standard to the international level.
