On 30 August 2024, the Global Relations Division organised the Exchange Maximization Expo & International Food and Cultural Festival 2024 at E4 Building, Mae Fah Luang University, under a theme of Youth Empowerment.
The expo featured an inspiration talk, “From Passion to Action: Youth Leading the Way,” delivered by Mr. Papangkorn Bunsophap, a fourth-year student of the International Development programme, the School of Social Innovation and a Youth Delegate to the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79). Ms. Warunee Kaewbunruang, an Administrative Officer of the Global Relations Division also presented “MFU GO GLOBAL! Unlocking Student Mobility for a World of Opportunities”, highlighting exchange opportunities available to MFU students. Additionally, Ajarn Nada Chaiyajit, a lecturer from the School of Law, shared experience in a special talk titled “the Secrets of Success: “From an Activist to a Chevening Scholar”.
Following the expo, participants immerged themselves in various cultures through the International Food and Cultural Festival. Free food was offered by Thai and international students from Bhutan, Brunei, China, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, and Nepal. The festival also featured cultural performances, a lucky draw, cover dance performances, live music and Youth Booth Workshops led by representatives of MFU student clubs (International Student Club, MFU Band, MFU Dancing and Acting Club, MFU Taekwondo Club, MFU BJJ Club).
The event successfully served as a platform to inspire MFU students, promote a diverse and inclusive community, and encourage them to learn and appreciate different cultures, preparing them to become global citizens.
