On 17 September 2024, a delegation from Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), led by Mr. Vittayasak Rujivorakul, Vice President, traveled to the University of Phayao to deliver meals and essential supplies to students affected by a recent flood in front of the University of Phayao.
The MFU team donated 500 boxes of ready-to-eat meals, 150 packs of drinking water, 50 survival bags, 26 boxes of instant noodles, 62 packs of sanitary napkins, 50 sets of picnic mats, and 50 blankets to the temporary shelter area in front of the University of Phayao. The University of Phayao was represented by Dr. Jaruwan Poshyanonda, Assistant to the President and Mr. Pichet Tookjitra, Director of the Student Affairs Division.
The ingredients used to prepare the food were generously supported by the Charoen Pokphand Group, while other items were donated by individuals and purchased using monetary donations received by MFU. The MFU delegation's visit demonstrated the university's commitment to supporting its neighboring institutions and communities in times of need.
