The Top 2% Scientists list identifies the most influential scholars in their respective fields, based on the frequency with which their publications are cited by other researchers worldwide. Stanford University scientists developed the database of over 100,000 top scientists using standardized citation indicators such as information on citations, H-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score). The list selected the top 2% scientists worldwide in 22 scientific fields and 174 sub-fields by assessing their career-long impact until the end of 2023 and citation impact during the single calendar year 2023.

This achievement demonstrates MFU's continuously growing research excellence and international recognition. The university extends congratulations to all researchers who have been ranked this time and hopes that this will inspire new generations of researchers to pursue cutting-edge research. Such accomplishments will contribute to advancing Thailand's research standards on the global stage.
