Two lecturers at the School of Science Dr. Uraiwan Intatha and Dr. Kitiphong Khongphinitbunjong and researchers from the Faculty of Science at Chiang Mai University and the National Research Council of Thailand were awarded the Gold Medal with Congratulations of Jury and the Special Award from the Malaysian Association of Research Scientists (MARS) in the 45th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva during 29 March -2 April 2017.
“Smart Bees” is an innovative model of sustainable beekeeping which based on a university-community knowledge transfer. It provides bee farmers with beneficial information about beekeeping and the way to add value to bee products in order to enhance Thailand’s bee farming quality.
The 45th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva is under the patronage of the Swiss Federal Government, the State, the City of Geneva and the World Intellectual Property Organization(WIPO). This year, it welcomed over 50,000 participants with more than 700 exhibitors from 45 countries.
