On 17 - 24 November 2024, Mr. Wangchuck Rabtan, a lecturer at the School of Management, and Mr Pema Wangdra, a Bhutanese alumnus, visited high schools in Thimphu, Phuntsholing, Gelephu, and Paro in Bhutan. The main purposes of the visit were to meet with principals, teachers, and students, and to promote Mae Fah Luang University’s study programmes, admission process, and scholarship opportunities.
MFU representative visited Dechencholing Higher Secondary School, Desi High School, Pelkhil School, Rinchen Higher Secondary School, Losel Gyatsho Academy, Gelephu Higher Secondary School, Phuentsholing Higher Secondary School, Gedu Higher Secondary School, and Wanakha Central School. The visits provided sessions for teachers and students to gain an overview of the courses and facilities offered at MFU, as well as insights into student’s life from the experiences of a lecturer and an alumnus. Most students expressed interest in courses related to health science and science and technology.
The meetings with representatives of each school provided valuable opportunities to foster good relations between MFU and schools, and to discuss future collaborative activities such as university campus visit for teachers and students from Bhutan.
