On 16 – 17 January 2025, the School of Cosmetic Science and the School of Integrative Medicine, Mae Fah Luang University, in collaboration with the Society of Cosmetic Chemist of Thailand and the Association of Medical Technologist of Thailand, co-hosted the joint conference “the Cosmetic and Beauty International Conference (CBIC) 2025 & International Conference on Integrative Medicine (ICIM) 2025”. This conference was held in both virtual and physical formats at Mae Fah Luang University.
Prof. Dr.Sujitra Wongkasemjit, Vice President of Mae Fah Luang University, presided over the opening ceremony. Over 300 participants attended the conference. Assoc. Prof. Dr.Wandee Rungseevijitprapa, Dean of the School of Cosmetic Science and the Conference Chair, stated in the opening ceremony that this conference held significant meaning as it was a part of celebrating the 20th anniversary of the School of Cosmetic Science’s establishment. During the past 20 years, the School of Cosmetic Science has drastically advanced to become a leading school in education and research in cosmetic science. The conference provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on past achievements and reaffirm the commitment to advancing excellence and sustainability in the future.
This event focused on beauty and health research, which are part of the sustainable development goal of “Good Health and Well-being”, with the theme of “Integrating Health and Beauty for Wellness and a Sustainable Future”. The conference aimed to provide insights into current research and knowledge in Cosmetic Science, Beauty Technology, Integrative Medicine, and Alternative Medicine.
The conference brought together keynote speakers from several countries in Asia, Europe and America to share the latest updates on industry trends, Cosmetic Science, Beauty Technology, Integrative Medicine, and Alternative Medicine. The event also featured oral and poster presentations delivered by researchers and innovators, and diverse workshops in cosmetic science, beauty technology, integrative medicine, and alternative medicine.
Altogether, this international conference, aligning with the increasing demand for the concern of safety, efficacy, and sustainability of health interventions such as cosmetics and treatment, provided a constructive platform for researchers from all related fields to connect, share, and present their research, contributing to the search for new, reliable, safe, and effective treatment options.
