Moreover, the proportion of international students, international staff and international collaboration reflects MFU’s internationalisized environment, a factor that attracts undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as faculty members, from all over the world.

The University will make all the necessary effort to maintain its national academic leadership status and to make our institution become one of the top 10 leading university in ASEAN that serves society with high-quality research, teaching and internationalized activities.

The Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2020 use the same 13 performance indicators covering universities’ core missions: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook as the THE World University Rankings, but the indicators are recalibrated to reflect the attributes of Asia’s institutions. The performance indicators are grouped into five areas: Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income andreputation); Citations (research influence); International outlook (staff, students and research); and Industry Income (knowledge transfer).
