Moreover, the international outlook reflects MFUs internationalisized environment, a factor that attracts undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as faculty members, from all over the world.

THE Young University Rankings 2020 are based on the same metrics as THE World University Rankings to reflect young universities’ missions, with less emphasis on reputational surveys and more on factors such as research productivity, staff-student ratios, institutional income and doctoral education. The performance indicators are grouped into five areas: Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income and reputation); Citations (research influence); International outlook (staff, students and research); and Industry Income (knowledge transfer).
