Asian Research Center for International Development (ARCID)

Objective

ARCID aims to be a leading think tank and an international focal point for research on Southeast Asia with special reference to the Mekong region and its interactions with East Asia, namely, China, Japan and South Korea.

Missions

ARCID would be a research-intensive institution focusing on policy-relevant research, especially political, economic and socio-cultural issues of East Asia-Southeast Asian relations. It aims to foster an international network of like-minded research centers. It would also institute people-to-people exchanges between the two regions to further understanding, bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
